Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- IT Solution Architect - DB (SQL & Oracle)

Support IT Infrastructure Delivery organization to deliver business value through changes and well-maintained platforms by performing quality service engineering, governance, and guidance activities in a dynamic global IT Operations environment.

Scope:

Global IT Infrastructure Operations, role in hybrid global work team with multitude of parallel activities. All global Database platforms are in scope.

 

Responsibilities

Lead Database Service engineering: Architect, document and coordinate technology design, and configuration for service updates/additions as part of change management discipline (fit4purpose, including technical integrations, automation, in liaison with IT, business and vendor stakeholders, SQL and noSQL databases), classic and cloud)"                                                          
Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases. Oversee maintenance of databases"                                                                                           
Lead Database platforms architecture strategy, roadmap, and implementation (including standardization and reporting) that provides effective database solutions, procedures. standards and architecture models to facilitate secure, compliant, and reliable storing and retrieving of company data, and their safeguarding."                                                                                   
Influence DB platform choice for solution proposals and provide guidance to service providers on Galderma DB platform strategy and standards."                                                                                            
Validate, evaluate and technical sign-off of technical changes in capabilities and solutions proposed by external partners."                                                                                           
Oversee and guide deployment of database solutions in IT Landscape (including PoC, PoV and Transfer-to-Operations together with L2) "                                                                                   
Serve as L3 SME for technical operations, incident, and problem resolution in database platform and related domains (including error search & remediation)"                                                                               
Knowledge management: ensure operational procedures, technical designs/standards and configuration knowledge is documented and maintained. Support training of staff."                                                                                       
Design and propose DB architectures with optimal performance, availability, cost, and capacity. Guide RUN-organization on the management of same parameters"
Responsible for the technical integration and lifecycle of application components in Galderma landscape in accordance to Galderma Technical Standards and Policies.
Defines and improve Qualification/Validation framework in collaboration for his scope of expertise with the Quality team.
Document business cases to introduce or optimize solutions in the IT landscape.                                                                                                                                                                 
Qualifications

Work Experience;

Relevant DB Architecture role in global IT Infrastructure environment, including actively working with Azure Cloud Technology (at least 2 years of demonstrable working experience in Azure)

With BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.

GxP-regulated industry experience is an asset."                  

                       
Education and Training:


"Certified DB Architect across multiple platforms (required: Oracle,: MS SQL, others plus)

Certified Azure Administrator & Azure Solutions architect

- ITIL certified

- Project Management Certification a plus

- BSc in IT or equivalent, MSc preferred"

- Good IT Infrastructure knowledge for adjacent domains including Windows/Linux server, network, storage, access management.
- Broad knowledge across DB platforms including Oracle, MS SQL, Azure Cloud offerings, and data mining.
- English skills at least B2-level strongly analytical, structured, conscientious, reliable, organized, driven personality
- pro-active, adaptable individual contributor, self-organized, team oriented, experienced with remote-working across cultures and time zones
- team, customer, and service focused oriented with "can do" / "getting things done" attitude
- comfortable in dynamic, fast pace, global environment
- Ability to work focused towards with minimal supervision
